Fitt Size Chart (“Fitt”) is a Shopify app made by Octidev (“we”). It adds size charts and a size guide to a store’s product pages. This policy explains what Fitt stores when a merchant installs it and when shoppers use the size guide, why, for how long, and how to have it deleted.
What Fitt stores about your store
- Your store’s domain and access token, which Shopify gives Fitt when you install it, so Fitt can work in your store.
- A copy of your products’ catalog details: titles, handles, product types, vendors, tags, collections, size option values, the link to each product’s image, and the product metafields your chart rules use. Fitt uses it to match products to charts and to show which products have a chart.
- Your charts are kept in your own Shopify store as metaobjects, not on our servers. Fitt stores the rules that say which products each chart shows on.
- Settings and checks: your storefront and Find my size settings, setup progress, and the results of chart health checks, which look at your theme and load one of your product pages as a shopper would.
- An alert email address, if you enter one in Settings. Without one, alerts go to your store owner’s email, which Fitt reads from Shopify when it sends an alert and doesn’t store.
- Size guide statistics: counts per chart, day and device type (phone or desktop): product page views, guide opens, Find my size results and add-to-carts. They carry no customer account, IP address or other identifier.
What Fitt stores about shoppers
Nothing that identifies them. The statistics above are counts only; the storefront sends them without any customer id or cookie, and Fitt doesn’t store IP addresses with them.
A few choices stay in the shopper’s own browser (its local storage), on their device only, and are never sent to Fitt: the measurements they enter in Find my size (only if the store keeps “Remember measurements” on), whether they read sizes in centimetres or inches, and the size Find my size suggested for a product. Shoppers can clear them by clearing their browser’s site data. Fitt’s storefront script sets no cookies.
How we use it
Only to run Fitt for your store: to link charts to products, show the size guide, check that it’s showing and email you if it stops, show you statistics in the app, and answer your support requests. We don’t sell or rent any of it, use it for advertising, or train any AI on it. Fitt uses no AI.
Who else handles it
- Shopify, the platform Fitt runs on.
- Our hosting provider, which runs Fitt’s servers and database.
- Resend, which delivers Fitt’s alert emails: it receives the recipient’s address and the email.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
- While Fitt is installed, we keep what’s listed above.
- When you uninstall Fitt, it deletes its access to your store, the copy of your products and which product shows which chart straight away. Your charts stay in your store: they’re yours, and Fitt finds them again if you reinstall.
- 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks Fitt to erase your store’s data, and Fitt deletes everything it still keeps about your store: rules, settings, checks, statistics and the alert address. If you’ve installed Fitt again by then, nothing is erased.
- You can export your charts at any time from Settings › Your data.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about your store, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to himusr@gami.com. Requests about shoppers come through Shopify’s privacy requests; as Fitt holds nothing that identifies a shopper, there is nothing to send or erase for them.
Security
Fitt’s pages, its connection to Shopify and the storefront’s statistics all use HTTPS. Only the people who run Fitt can reach its database.
Changes
If we change what Fitt stores or how we use it, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
